Boston Scientific Corporation  (Public, NYSE:BSX)  shares slumped 0.24 (-4.26%) to $5.40 after the company reported that the company earned 15 cents a share during the first quarter on revenue of $1.87 billion, topped analysts’ estimates of 9 cents a share on revenue of $1.91 billion.

The company expects FY2011 EPS of $0.67-$0.70, versus its previous guidance of $0.64-$0.70 and the consensus of $0.45. Boston Scientific Corp. sees FY2011 revenue of $7.624-$7.724 billion, versus the consensus of $7.77 billion.

The Blackstone Group L.P.  (Public, NYSE:BX) shares rose 0.01 (0.08%) to $13.25 after the company said that it had a net loss of 30 cents a share during the third quarter, missed analysts’ estimates of loss of 28 cents a share. Fee-Earning Assets Under Management increased 27% to a record $133 billion at September 30, 2011, from $104 billion at September 30, 2010, while Total Assets Under Management increased 32% to $158 billion at September 30, 2011.

Cooper Industries plc  (Public, NYSE:CBE) fell 0.37 (-0.73%) to $50.21 after the company reported profit $160.2 million, or 98 cents a share, from $141.7 million, or 85 cents a share, in the year-ago period., topping analysts’ estimates of 96 cents a share.

Revenue in the recent period climbed 12% to $1.39 billion.

For the full year, the Dublin manufacturer now anticipates earnings in the range of $3.78 to $3.83 a share, versus a prior view of $3.78 to $3.82 a share.
